Yin Yoga

Functional and Embodied Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga and Stretch & Recovery offer a slow, nourishing approach to movement, designed to support both the body and the nervous system. These practices invite you to come out of “doing” mode and return to a steadier, more rested and relaxed rhythm.

Classes are mostly floor-based and unhurried, creating time and space for the body to release tension and for the mind to settle. This is a practice of feeling and listening, meeting yourself where you are, without force or expectation.

Whether you’re feeling physically tight, mentally overstimulated, or simply in need of rest, these classes offer a supportive pause in the week to restore balance and ease.

There’s no pressure to perform or to keep up. You’re welcome to pause, adapt, or rest at any point. This practice is about support, not striving.

You can attend in-person classes in Enfield, Co. Meath.

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin yoga is a slow, meditative practice where poses are held for longer periods, by gently applying stress to the deeper tissues and layers of the body, or the connective tissues such as fascia. Rather than focusing on muscular effort, Yin encourages stillness, patience, and awareness.

This practice supports healthy and hydrated fascia, mobility, and circulation, while also calming the nervous system when needed. Yin yoga offers space to turn inward, observe sensation, and cultivate a sense of quiet presence, making it as much a mental and emotional practice as a physical one.

What is Stretch & Recovery?

I created Stretch & Recovery classes to offer deep support and accessibility by offering gentle blended movement to release tension and support recovery from daily life, stress, or other physical activity. These classes include slow stretching, mindful transitions, and generous rest.

Stretch & Recovery includes elements of a Yin class, with longer-held stretches, together with blended movement where the intention is ease rather than intensity. To support tired, sore, or overworked bodies. Class will also include self-applied massage using different types of balls.
